More oppurtunities----Be an entrepreneur

Ms. CINDY, director of Vina House, a real entrepreneur in terms of her abilities & attitude. Vina House has become a land-mark of semarang. Its infrastructure, its design, its architecture has become a hot talk in Semarang.
She is an entrepreneur who has ability and attitude to run and manage her very own Vina House. She is not only an entrepreneur but she is a good human also. Involved in so many social issues, she has reputed her name even more in levels.

Below is the interview with Ms. Cindy

Q-What is entrepreneurship according to you?
A-Entrepreneurship is all about running our own business with our own vision & own flag. It is very different from professionalism.

Q-How did you start your business?
A-I worked for ABN-AMRO bank for 11 years. I was VP and credit structuring head in the bank when I left the job. But my husband wanted me to start our own business & this is how “Vina House” concept came in our mind. He wanted to make a new creation for Semarang, a land-mark for Semarang. So in 2002 we started with our own business & I must say we are successful today. Vina house is totally handled by me as my husband handles his own furniture business.

Q-How you find entrepreneurship?
A-Its very different from professionalism. There are more responsibilities in entrepreneurship. Its different case in entrepreneurship. We have different vision & Success is in our hand. The first thing which I learned is to get involved fully in the business, and also you have to be creative & innovative. We don’t know what will happen next & what will be result or outcome. Then we have to make next strategy and move forward.

Q-What is the main concept of Vina House?
A-The main concept for Vina House is fun-dining restaurant. As my husband has his own factory of exporting furniture, all furniture used in Vina House was our own furniture. Fun-dining restaurant is present at second floor and there is an executive meeting room present at third floor.

Q-How do you feel being an entrepreneur?
A-I am enjoying a lot. It attracts to me to do new things, new thoughts, new success, and new results. Also there are more authorities & responsibilities. I am feeling more creative. My leadership skills are enhancing and one good thing is, I am employing MBAs now for managing Vina House.

Q-What is the most important thing you consider for running a business?
A-The most important thing is personal approach. We have to meet personally with our customers or clients. It gives them more satisfaction & reliability. This is what I do for Vina House. When I started this business all people think that Vina House is very expensive, but I tried to change the perception of all the people through marketing and personal approach, and I am successful now.
Q-What message you want to give to young Entrepreneurs?
A-I just wanted to say
-Try your best
-Be persistent
-Dare to take risk
-Don’t give up until you become what you want to be
-Be like a spider, who never gives up in life
-keep same passion till last

How to Start !!!!!!

Hello guys!!!!!
I am Bram, I will tell you about how to start with a small business & share about my experiexce till date.

I started my business experience since I was at elementary school. At that time I was selling some child’s play tools like kelereng, gambar etc. I saw this opportunity since I knew that all friends of mine always play those games and had to buy the tools far away from our home.
This experience made my mind entered by a business perspective, then I continue with established a free magazine for youth at 2006 called Nueva. We had publish 6 edition and had to stop our operation because of human resources challenges. At this step I learned about how to manage some part time people with lots of activities and honestly I told you that it was great experience.
Now I run my other business called Bright Indonesia, a company moved on development of human resources and business for youth. I established Bright Indonesia with support of 3 friends that having one vision to develop youth of our surrounding, that’s why we always held many events and trainings for youth development.
We started our first program named Ngobrol Bisnis. Then we also have a program for Senior High School student called Shine upworkshop. On November 2008 we held 1st Youth Festival contains of Youth Business Exhibition, Youth Business Seminar, Youth Community Exhibition.

During my juney, I have several tips for youth in establishing a business:
• Start for a simple business
You don’t have to establish a big business if you don’t have enough money. You can start to sell a simple stuff to your community to collect the money then you can establish a bigger business.
• Learn from a mentor
We should learn from a person that successfull already. They experienced a lot in establish and develop their business. We can ask then to share their experience to us and by that experience we can avoid some fatal mistake so we can run our business better.

Why Entrepreneurs-----Become Big Boss

Dear all of Entrepreneurs,,,
My name is Mariska Sherly P, just call me Mariska…
I’m Vice President of Incoming Exchange 08/09 in AIESEC Local Committee University of Diponegoro – Semarang – Jawa Tengah – Indonesia.

I’m the one who create this PBoX (Project Based on Exchange) with issue Entrepreneurship,,,
The reason why I decided to create this project is based on my Chinese family background which is an entrepreneur and I think that, in Semarang , there are a lot of potential in entrepreneurship and as the new young leader in the future, I think this PBoX can be good case practice for the other young leader and entrepreneur candidates in the future to start think about having their own business from their creativities and explore their experience and mindset about economic and help to decrease the poverty rate in Indonesia and make more work field for the other and become the BIG BOSS,,,

It all started from Monetary crisis in Indonesia in 1998. That time, lots of people got fired from their workplace, & then they start thinking about how to survive at that time and the only answer was to start their own business.

Actually my family was an employer's family in my little home town named Kudus, and after my father “quit” from his job (because his contract ended). He talked with all of my family, & one question was raised- “what can we do to survive?”,. After my father quit from his job, we do not want to get another job from the other company because my family decided to have our own family business, it is enough to learn how to manage our business from my father’s experience during his working in that company and actually our Chinese blood background gave us descendant’s legacy how to survive in business & manage our own business.

This was the story how we became self-employed & started our own business & came to know as entrepreneurs, Right now my family have 5 businesses, they are Bedcover and Cover for bed (Rossa’s Collection), Internet CafĂ©, Bihun Distributor, Event Organizer ( Dragon EO ), and 3 Boarding Houses.

I believe that you can be entrepreneur too if you have spirit and never give up behaviour…
Like what Valentino Rossi said “ WHAT IF I HAD NEVER TRIED IT”. My family thought to be an entrepreneur if we do not dare to dream and make decision for our future, of course we do not get anything in the future. That is what I believe.

GO ENTREPRENEURSHIP,,,,
YYIIIPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE,,,,,,,,

Cheers
